His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is committed to end power crisis faced by people of Ghana.

Since the Minister for Power resigned from his seat as the Power Minister for the past six (6) months, there's no confirmation of new person to be installed on the seat as the Minister for Power. With this, people of Ghana suggest it's because there is no one to manage that position and that's why the problem has not go down and Ghanaians are still facing this power crisis.

With this suggestion, the man that doubles  as Member of Parliament for Damango, being the person of Mr. Mutawakilu, says he totally disagree with all the issues and made the statement that the President would not have created the Power Ministry if he was not determined to rectify the problem.

This is all that he said in his speech, "In the first place, it is true we do not have Minister of Power. If the President was not determined he wouldn't have created the Power Ministry.
I believe the President is totally determined to ensure that the power crisis is fixed forever
" This is what was assured by Mr. Mutawakilu.

Furthermore, Mr. Mutawakilu said that the Deputy Minister, being the person of Mr. John Jinapor, has been very effective since the Power Minister Dr. Kwabena Donkor resigned.

He explained to us by saying, "I believe the Deputy Minister is doing very well in his seat and he's impressed us on the committee and his response to issues is quite fast and I'm quite confident that with guidance from the Minister of Finance, he will be able to handle issues very well".

Talking about the electricity billing anomalies, the person of Mr. Mutawakilu said an investigation for the source of will be out and the problem will come to an end.

He further stated that, " We want to finish our investigations as early as possible. We will be visiting the ECG's lab which is where the calibration is done and check out the sources of the supply of the prepaid meters then from there we can conclude the problem"
